I'm afraid it's not really possible to increase the travel on your Bighit to 9".
The rear travel is limited by the frame design and 9" travel forks would be too
long for the frame to cope with.

To be honest there really is no need for that much travel on a mountain bike.
With only a few exceptions most world cup level DH bikes have settled on around
8" of travel as the ideal compromise. If it's any help i raced a Bighit 2 in
standard trim to a top 20 place at the Llangollen round of the British Downhill
Championships earlier this year. Llangollen is one of the most tech and gnarly
tracks in the UK right now and the bike felt awesome. My advice to you would be
don't worry about travel and just enjoy your ride as it is!

 ha ha ha ha .you must give me his number so i can get some magic worked on mine.

 seriously it cant be done , 7.5 inches is all it can have , any bigger and the rockers would hit the frame, the only way you can raise the bb is to duel/tripple clamps on and it raises the bb by 1 to 2 inches , i have the same bike and wanted higher bb hight and more travel , was told by specialized that it cant be done no matter what , 8.5 x 2.5 is the most it will hold, wasnt being fnny , just think you have been misinformed

 wow you must be some sort of super miracle worker or summin cause it don't matter what shock you put on this frame it can still only have 180mm inches of travel befor the rear wheel hits the down tube , no matter what you do to it ... it will never in a million years have 9inches of travel on the rear, sorry to burst your bubble
